Complementary to medicine and surgery, Physiotherapy has witnessed rapid growth in the post World War era. Medicine and surgery, in all related cases, can become perfectly successful only through Physiotherapy interventions and assistance by
ParaMedical Science. Physiotherapy, in fact, is a study of neurological, respiratory, cardiac, thoracic, muscles, skeletal disorder and that of psychosomatic origin and treatment by manual therapy, movement through instruments based on physical principles. This speaks of the fact that physiotherapy and paramedical science need very competent professionals to provide effective relief to the patients. They have not only to keep themselves updated, so far as knowledge is concerned, but also to innovate some novel techniques based on their skills and experiences. All this has been kept in mind while designing the course module at IASE.
These professionals can serve in some existing hospitals and clinics or establish their own clinics. They can also become effective teachers after post graduation. The large corporates also employ their in-house therapists. |
