Faculty of Education
Faculty of Education came into existence in 1950 as Basic Teachers’ Training College under the auspices of Gandhi Vidya Mandir and subsesquently in 2002 it got merged with IASE (Deemed to be University). Since its inception, the faculty is trying its best to produce value oriented teachers. The institution is well-known for its teacher education where the forthcoming teachers are trained and embodied with cultural traditions of the Indian society along with the rational modern thinking to keep pace with the time.
Teacher education was a cherished dream of our founder Swami Shri Ramsharan Ji Maharaj who believed that an educated and value oriented teacher could transform the whole world. The Faculty of Education has done noteworthy service to the cause of nation building and educational development by producing eminent educationists and scholars.
What can we offer in Teacher Education?
Faculty of Education offers a unique opportunity to students to actively engage and thoughtfully process relevant issues of their lives in the mirror of reflective education. It develops domain of knowledge, teaching skills, IT skills and soft skills. Students are trained in computer aided learning ambience where they get to meet students from different linguistic, cultural and behavioral backgrounds. Ph.D., M.Ed., B.Ed., B.A.-B.Ed., B.Sc.-B.Ed., M.A. in Education and many certificate programmes are offered by Faculty of Education, which have been duly approved by the NCTE. To keep pace with the changing trends and developments, it aims at developing a new cadre of teaching professionals through a rigorous full-time campus-based program. It offers courses which are practice - oriented with an application of principles, methods and challenges to meet the demands and problems in the schools of present times.
Realizing the individual unique traits present in each teacher trainee, Faculty of Education attempts to provide specially designed training programs that would facilitate development of necessary abilities and skills in each teacher trainee so that they would be able to meet the challenges of the competitive era ahead of them in the time to come in the best way possible. The curriculum not only paves way for the foundation and professional knowledge but also provides experiential learning.
Teacher Internship Programme enables students to experience the rigour of professional environment and combine the concepts learnt in classroom with the real-life situations. The Teacher Internship Program (TIP) consists of Micro teaching, Macro teaching and Teaching Practice. The TIP, which is a simulation of real work environment, requires that the students undergo the rigours of professional environment both in form and substance. In the process, it provides an opportunity to students to participate in real life teaching situations, develop teaching skills, and know methods of remedial teaching and other such related dimensions. It also exposes them to various soft skills, and helps them acquire human skills by interacting with outside professionals while seeking information. For intense training, Faculty of Education has 5 lab schools which provide learners with hands-on training.
A team of competent, qualified and committed faculty members steer the Faculty of Education. They play a significant role in ensuring quality education through interactive teaching, creative and innovative pedagogy, continuous evaluation and constructive feedback. The extensive knowledge, professional experience and advanced education of the faculty members enrich the quality of academic delivery of Education programs. Each faculty member is entrusted with the responsibility of mentoring in various areas like-academics, developing proficiency in teaching through practice sessions, preparation for seminars and so on. Faculty of Education provides well-equipped computer and Language laboratory facilities to all the students guided by well experienced faculty.
Faculty of Education endeavours to build the overall personality development of the students by bringing a balance between the classroom and out of classroom life. It provides a variety of opportunities for participation and initiation of different co-curricular activities. The activities are designed to support the educational goals/ objectives of the university by working to create the experimental learning options outside the classroom and encouraging the students to actively participate in the greater educational arena. Through the organization of diverse activities, the students learn the value of collaborative and collective learning. Students are encouraged to form informal groups and share information and exchange ideas. The teacher trainees are encouraged to develop a research orientation of mind that would help them to identify innovative approaches in their teaching-learning process.
Faculty of Education specializes in benefiting the students to vast sources of knowledge and experience through Guest lectures and Seminars christened as Talk Fests. The Faculty of Education also conducts students' seminars to develop self-confidence and improve communication skills. Students are encouraged to participate in seminars on recent innovations in the field of teacher-education.
Faculty of Education works continuously for developing network by conducting seminars, internships, projects and other initiatives. All the students are provided guidance for planning their career. They are groomed to develop their personality and skills to suit the requirements of the employers. As a professional institution of teaching, Faculty of Education has a responsibility to prepare qualified professionals in teaching and academic leadership.

The main focus of mentorship is to develop the all-round personality of the students and to make them more professionally competent and responsible citizens by the time they leave the university. Each faculty member functions as a counselor for a group of students during the entire period of their study in the university. The teachers assist the students to cope up with the curriculum, academic stress, participate in co-curricular and extracurricular activities, solve personal issues, as well as groom their skills and assist in their personality development.
One Student One Tree
University has initiated 'One Student One Tree' initiative in 2019-20 which is linked with their degree. Thus as many as 1000 trees have survived under the programme during the s ession 2019-20. For the next session the target for plantation is fixed at 2000.

Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences
The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at IASE (Deemed to be University) is a centre of research and learning having five different disciplines: Geography, Hindi, Sociology, History, and Sanskrit. With its varied range of research interests and expertise, the faculty promotes interdisciplinary work in humanities and social sciences, offering projects, supervision and fellowships aimed at attracting students and researchers from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds. Apart from its undergraduate B.A. & B.Sc courses which include uniquely designed content offered by members of faculty, the faculty offers highly interdisciplinary areas of expertise in its M.A. and Ph.D. programmes.
The objective of all the members of the faculty is to inculcate human values amongst technologists in academia and the society outside and to equip them with values for living and working successfully in multilingual and multicultural settings.

UG Studies
For UG Studies Mahila Maha Vidyalaya was established with the aim of promoting higher education among women in the year 2004 with a vision to empower women by creating awareness and rational in their action and make quality a defining element both in personal and professional lives. The foundation stone was laid down by Acharyavar Jinchandra Suridev. The college provides excellent education at minimum cost and believes in making women confident, competent and dynamic. The college maintains a perfect balance between academics and extracurricular activities. In the session 2017-18 Mahila Maha vidyalaya was merged with faculty of humanities and social sciences and became a co-education college for UG Studies.

DEPARTMENT OF HISTORY
Much of challenge and excitement in pursuing academic programme in history comes from the fact that it demands proficiency in a diverse and challenging set of skills. The Department of History offers the learners a good theoretical knowledge of the discipline along with observational skills and analytical understanding of the past histories in the present circumstances.
The strength of the Department of History at the campus lies in the History of Modern India with special emphasis on histories of political violence, spatial history, tourism and environmental histories. The Department offers B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. in history.
All the programmes are designed to provide learners with requisite in-depth knowledge of history. The faculty members are exquisite researchers with in-depth theoretical knowledge. The faculty members train students in empirical research and fieldwork. The postgraduate students also get the opportunity to enhance their knowledge through interdisciplinary courses.

DEPARTMENT OF GEOGRAPHY
The Department strives at providing in-depth knowledge of geography The goal of this program is to provide students in depth knowledge in Geography required for solving real-world problems. This course in particular imparts knowledge in conventional and recent concepts and its applications in various areas of Geography. Further, the department provides training to students in various practical aspects of Geography. Students gain ample knowledge and skills necessary to facilitate applications in new emerging professions related to Geography.
The duration of the program is two years (M.A.) and the certificate courses are carefully designed to attain both scientific and technical aspects that enable them to grow into competent, seasoned professionals. Course curriculum is designed both at basic and advanced levels. Students in fourth semester/second year are given opportunity to undertake research oriented projects in their concerned field of specialization or interest. Apart from these core and practical courses, students are also required to take up electives. This programme provides elective subjects which are relevant with updated and new areas in various branches of Geography to meet the needs of all students.
The department is well-equipped with lab as per UGC norms. The department, in addition provides training through IIRS courses. NETRA has collaboration with the Department; the department is excelling in providing training in Geo spatial technologies and Drone. The department has rich faculty members who are expert in their field and have in-depth knowledge of the subject with lots of research publications to their credit.

DEPARTMENT OF HINDI
The Department of Hindi has emerged as a Centre of Hindi literature of its own kind in the district. It has a glorious tradition of teaching Hindi Literature. Hindi teaching and promotion of Hindi language are two major issues which are addressed by the intense teaching of Hindi literature. Department offers various courses in Hindi i.e. B.A., M.A., and Ph.D.
Apart from the above, Department has also designed a very modern look to its traditional courses: M.A. and B.A by including a number of twentieth-century poets and writers to make the syllabi not only more interesting for today's generation but also relevant and contemporary with a sense of balance. However, this has in no way undermined the importance of medieval Hindi literature in the courses, as well.
Another noteworthy quality of the Hindi Department is its emphasis on interdisciplinary study of Hindi and other social sciences. In M.A. course, the Department has a separate and comprehensive paper on dissertation, as well. The Department encourages research scholars to do research on the folk literature too.
The Department of Hindi has not only been active in teaching literature in the University,but has also played an important role in the dissemination of Hindi as a language in the state. The faculty of the department has taken up many assignments to teach Hindi to other students of varied colleges, schools and universities. The Department of Hindi since its inception has treated Hindi as an integrated, multifaceted and multidimensional subject. On the whole Hindi language and literature have never been treated as isolated identity.

DEPARTMENT OF SANSKRIT
The Department of Sanskrit offers B.A., and M.A. courses. Interdisciplinary studies remain the prime focus along with the traditional genre in postgraduate course. The Department organizes seminars, workshops, extension lectures and field trips for enrichment of the subject. Since its inception, the Department has remained engaged in popularizing the language and literature of Sanskrit in the region. Short-term courses are in the pipeline to enable the learners to speak in Sanskrit. The Department enchants with the sound of mantras, slokas, verses of the Gita and the Mahabharata. It aims to train the learners in advanced areas of Vedanta, Yoga, Nyaya, Vykarana, literature and literary criticism of the Indian knowledge system.
The dedicated work of faculty members has brought about a golden opportunity for the students of B.A. and M.A. courses. The special scholarship is provided to the students of Sanskrit Department by the Central Sanskrit Institute (Kendriya Sanskrit Sansthan), Delhi. The Department plans to open new vistas in the arena of translation and academic research.

DEPARTMENT OF SOCIOLOGY
With an objective to conduct research and teaching in interdisciplinary areas from sociological lens the Department of Sociology was established. The core thematic concern of the Department includes local, national and global issues. Extending this thrust is on social structure, stratification, exclusion and discrimination nationwide. The Department also aims at training the learners in the emerging areas of the discipline such as human rights, gender sensitization, health sociology, sociology of marginal society, etc.
The Department focuses on training of the learners in social science methodology so that they can conduct the high-end scientific research for the welfare of the society. The emerging methodology, mixed methods are taught at the post-graduation level along with hands-on-training in the form of dissertation. The Department organises seminars, debates, group discussions, webinars, field surveys, and collaboration with society, for enhancing the critical and analytical understanding of the learners.

Faculty of Engineering and Technology
IASE (Deemed to be University) established Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) to foster learning, growth and prosperity through Engineering, IT and related streams. Keeping the view of encouraging and accelerating higher technical and professional education, University has started the departments Engineering courses. The department has a rich tradition of well experienced faculty and is equipped with sound infrastructure. IASE (Deemed to be University) takes pride in having interdisciplinary platform, Faculty of Engineering and Technology to provide quality technical and professional education.
Since its inception the FET has always been a platform for great events and activities. It is having good infrastructure learning resources, well equipped laboratories, ICT facilities, E-Library, Hostel and Sports complex etc. which make the environment conductive to learning and development with competence. FET will prove itself for students, research scientists, academicians and young researchers to evoke the new strategies in the scientific field. Departments of FET have been actively involved in quality research and teaching from its inception and products of the departments are earning name and fame of the University.
