IASE deemed University commenced Distance
Education programmes in early 2003,
achieving instant success due to its wellstructured,
programmes providing requisite flexibility and

in self instructional format covering syllabi
concerned and is made available to the
distance learners well in time.
In distance mode, the University follows a
similar system of examination and evaluation
which is laid down for regular programmes.

Counseling centres are authorised by the University for the
purpose of advising and counseling or for rendering any other
assistance to the distance education students. Counseling
Centres play an important role as the focal contact points for
learners, through their services in information dissemination,
monitoring, academic counseling, vocational guidance, handson
experience (in case of practical), multimedia support,
continuous student evaluation and library services. Each centre
has the requisite infrastructure to conduct these activities
effectively. The students are provided with course curriculum
which is also available on our website.
In order to update the
quality of self learning strategies the University provides
opportunities to the learners to participate in practical training
in well-equipped laboratories where interaction/ training is free
of cost. In addition to tests, assignments, self-learning exercises,
practicals, projects and industrial training, the classes are
organised by the counseling centres considering local needs,
convenience of the students and requirements of the concerned
Model Counseling Centre
To facilitate the students other than authorized Counseling
Centres for admission, they may directly approach the Model
Counseling Centre located atIASE Deemed University Campus,
Sardarshahr. The centre is giving admission in 25 programmes
under distance mode, rendering counseling, academic help,
vocational guidance by subject experts.
The centre provides
practical training in well equipped laboratories, multimedia
support, library facilities, personal contact classes, self
instructional material (SIM). Separate hostel facilities for girls
and boys are available during their stay at Campus.
To make learning easier, effective and interesting, IASE
deemed University is providing course material in the
SIM (Self-Instructional Material) format. The course
material provide information in detail and facilitate
independent learning. The SIM is carefully developed by
leading academicians of the country.
The counseling centres have a well-stacked library with
reference books, courses-specific periodicals, magazines,
journals etc. for further reading on various subjects.
